Uncle Bob" was the name we called my father's, Wilbur Ford, cousin. They had great love for each other and trips to California to visit family was always fun and memorable. I loved my second cousins, Sharon and Libby, especially since we were all the same age. Unfortunately, my father passed too early in life. It is because of this I truly understand your family’s loss. I always visualize Bob as a young man, greatly dedicated to his family and work, very loving and very smart. I respected him greatly and loved listening to the conversations between him and my father. Uncle Bob, dance with Jesus.

Bob is my cousin, as all the Summer's boys were. The Sherman sisters were a group to behold. They grew up in the early 1900's. They were tough and raising their children was a battle for Aunt Flo and Aunt Sara. My Aunt Flo, Bob's mom, had it the worst. Her husband died when the boys were small. The boys had to help make a living AND go to school. I was born late to my mother, so I was the only girl with those boys and was a flower girl at nearly all their weddings. The closeness between my mother and Aunt Flo and Aunt Corney was a testament to how much love they shared. So, I love all those boys as if they were my own brothers. They all were so kind, loving and giving. Bob and my brother, Wilbur were close. Wilbur was my hero and the fact they were so close made me feel grown up and loved. I am broken by this loss.
