Robert's obituary
We mournfully announce the passing of Robert Sidney Morris, 62, of Clinton, Tennessee. Robert passed away on February 17, 2023, after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Robert, born to [Thelma Sutton & James Morris, on March 12, 1960 in [Belton, Texas]. The Morris family stayed in Texas for 5 years until relocating to Clinton, Tennessee. Robert’s biggest passion in life was music. Robert was known for his music talent's which consists of vocal song artist, ability to play several music instruments (guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica, & drums ), & his own lyric song writings of which he wrote for several family members. He spent countless of hours perfecting his abilities when it came to music due to how he was naturally musically inclined. Robert enjoyed playing giggs in his earlier years of life by performing solo at Texas bars. Robert has been very fortunate to have the opportunity to see & meet several famous musicians such as Merele Haggard, BB king, & Lynard Skynyrd.
When robert wasn’t playing the guitar & singing, he could be found grilling out & having evening bon fires for family gatherings. He was a staunch supporter of instilling his music legacy by teaching & passing on his music talents to his two daughter's Samantha & Heather Morris & four grandkids Ciara, Mason, Mariah, & Sidney of whom meant the entire world to Robert. Throughout Robert's life journey while here on earth Robert cherished & favored every moment he got to spend family time with his two daughters & four grandkids of whom he always stated were his pride & joy.
Donations can be made to Holly Gamble Funeral Home, in honor of "Robert Sidney Morris". Private Cremation Services are being planned by Robert's Wife Elvira Morris & Robert's Daughter's Samantha & Heather Morris will later update a memorial website for Robert Morris that close or distant relatives & friends can view, comment, & sign in remembrance of Robert Sidney Morris of Clinton, Tennessee.
