While still in his teens, Bob built his own radio transmitter, and started a radio station in his attic. In his early 20’s he obtained his pilot’s license.

In Cleveland, he was instrumental in starting co-ops, and continued his involvement in co-ops when he moved to the Bay Area.

A special thank you to the staff at Kaiser Oakland Hospital, Greenridge Acute Care, and to the ICU staff at Kaiser Richmond Hospital. Their extraordinary care, kindness, and compassion during Bob’s last hours helped to make his passing peaceful and transcendent.

Bob had a beautiful spirit, a tender heart, a keen intellect, and such integrity and dignity. He was loved and is greatly missed.
