Biography: Robert M. "Mick" Sakowski, Jr died unexpectedly at his home in Hollywood, FL. on February 9, 2013. He was born in Savannah, GA in the USAF hospital at Hunter AFB. He was the oldest of three children of Robert and Wanda Sakowski.
Mick graduated from Owasso High School in Owasso, OK in 1985 and attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. He received training as a draftsman and CAD draftsman at Platt College in Tulsa, OK. He worked at a number of fixture companies in Oklahoma, Maine and south Florida over the past 20 years.
Mick is survived by his parents, Robert and Wanda Sakowski of Orlando, FL. a brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Michelle Sakowski of The Woodlands, TX and a sister, Samantha Amaral of Orlando, FL as well as a host of friends and associates. Mick is sorely missed as a son, brother, friend and associate. The days have lost their luster with his loss.
