Robert's obituary

Robert Lee Rudnick, age 97, passed away on June 11, 2023. A true Renaissance man, Bob found joy in music, singing, and all forms of artistic expression. He shared his many talents through community theater, both performing and singing with enthusiasm and heart.

A lifelong athlete, Bob was an avid tennis player and golfer who cherished the camaraderie and spirit of the game. He also loved traveling and socializing, sharing his enthusiasm, curiosity, and zest for life wherever he went.

After high school, Bob enlisted in the Army Air Corps, serving in Florida during World War II. He was stationed at the Boca Raton Air Force Base, where he installed radar systems designed to detect submarines off the East Coast of the United States. Following his service, Bob graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Industrial Engineering and began his career in the family business, manufacturing customized packaging for a wide range of products.

Bob later moved to Dover, Delaware, where he worked at Playtex and met Regina Hughes, who would become his devoted wife of 63 years. The couple married and later moved to New York, where they welcomed their daughters, Michelle and Leslie, before eventually settling in Florida.

In Florida, Bob became a successful commercial real estate broker and investor, remaining actively involved in his business ventures up until his passing.

Bob was the son of the late Alexander and Beatrice (Weinstein) Rudnick and brother to the late Morton Rudnick. He is survived by his beloved wife, Regina; his loving daughters, Michelle Greene and Leslie DeClemente (John); and his cherished grandchildren, Austin and Cameron Greene, and Alec, Emily, and Noah Lessner.

Bob’s life was defined by creativity, curiosity, and connection. He will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and the enduring love he shared with his family and friends.
