So it's been a hard two years for those who knew and loved Rick best.  Rick was bigger than life in so many delightful and positive ways, so the hole in our ozone is still very much Rick shaped.  I hope he really knew how loved he was.

My fondest memory of Rick is the year before I went to Far Eastern Academy and Rick came by Bangkok and I took him out into the markets scouring the place for pirate tapes. It was terrific. He introduced me to Prism See Forever Eyes and Meatloaf Bat Out of Hell. We had such a terrific time together. I can't hearing the amazing songs without being transported back to being a 15 year old, hanging out with a super cool guy about 3 years older than me, having adventures in the allies and markets of Bangkok. "Heaven Can Wait" is the most beautiful song on Bat Out of Hell. The title is deceiving. It isn't about putting off Heaven at all. It's about being in the rapture and wonder of Heaven, "just like a child again". One day I want to be hanging out in Heaven with Rick, being just like children again - filled with wonder and adventure. Just like we were, all those years ago.
