Bob's obituary

Robert (Bob) Rhine of Spring Hill, TN has joined Our Heavenly Father Sunday, December 14, 2025. Bob has been the most loving husband, Dad, and (great-)grandfather, truly embodying the notion of supporting his family, loving them unconditionally, and living his life with incredible selflessness. It doesn't matter who you ask, the consensus would be that Bob was the kindest person they knew. This, and the litany of other characteristics, can be attributed to the values learned in his rural North Dakota family-farm upbringing. Bob's love for Fran, his bride of 51 years, is unmatched in his level of adoration; he always ensured Fran's happiness and comfort above all. Having your best friend (and Valentine) by your side for more than 5 decades is certainly a blessing from above. Bob's life has been one of service.
During Bob's life, he literally traversed the globe in his governmental roles, military, and family travels. Bob honorably served in the U.S. Army with a variety of assignments such as Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Ft. Carson, Colorado; Miesau Army Depot, Germany; and even braved the treacherous jungles of Vietnam. Also, he proudly drove truck for Schneider National and as a Logistician for Oshkosh Truck Corporation, both were roles that were dear to his heart.
Some called him Chief, some called him Pompa, but no matter what he answered to, he was undoubtedly loved by all. Bob was the kindest, gentle, and patient man, who was always willing to lend a hand or just a listening ear. He was a quiet soul, but he loved the rumble of a Harley Davidson and making the trip to several Daytona Beach rallies. This world has lost an amazing man; his presence will be sorely missed, but heaven gained an angel, while we navigate amidst a profound sadness.
Bob is survived by his wife, Fran; (step-)children, grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren:
Son, Greg (Heather) Heltz, grandchildren: Heather (Joe) Nichols; Faith (Skyler) Padilla; great-grandchildren, Blake, Savannah, Bella, Lindsay, Hazel
Daughter, Yvette Bowshier; granddaughter, Jenni (Jake) Hoover; great-grandchildren, Daniel; Madison
Son, Matthew (Sherry) Heltz, Sr.; grandchildren, Matthew (Danielle) Heltz, Jr, Carrin (Nick) Esposito; Abby (Francisco) Torres; Halle Heltz; Gabby Heltz; Maggy (Mason) Hindmon; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Emma, Bella, Cora, Henry, Theodore, Emmy, Autumn
