Born February 18, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY, and passed away in the early hours of October 25, 2025, in Port Jefferson, NY, at the age of 71.
Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who would give a stranger the shirt off his back. A proud graduate of Ward Melville High School, he went on to enjoy a long career with the United States Postal Service before retiring.
Known fondly as "Ragman," Bob was an accomplished bowler, earning numerous accolades including the 1979 Masters Tournament championship and several ABC 700 Series awards.
In addition to his love of bowling, he was an avid runner who completed several New York City Marathons during the 1990s.
Bob is survived by his wife, Dawn Radu; daughter, Jaclyn Torres (née Radu); son, Corey Radu; and brother, John Radu. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Madeline Joyce Radu (née Aspelund); his brother, Ernest Radu Jr.; and his sister, Patricia Rizzo.
At Bob's request, there will be no ceremony; please honor his memory in your own personal way. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in his name.
