Ralph and I moved to Labelle after Ian, we were so lucky to land in the neighborhood where Bob and Gloria lived! We so enjoyed getting to know Bob, such a wonderful man and wonderful couple. Now we extend our deepest condolences……

Daddy’s Girl
An Ode to A Beloved Father

Pumpkin Pie, KatyGal, Sis,
Kathy—and one day, Dr. Peppers a name he'd speak with pride and bliss.
Never a harsh word, just steady and true,
Supportive and kind in all he would do.
A man full of grace, with patience so wide,
He stood by his daughter, beaming with pride.
We built side by side—each task met with care,
Fixing, preparing, with love always there.
He cherished my Lee, a Christian, Southern soul dear,
A gentleman strong, with values sincere.
They fished, shared Bojangles, watched Clemson with pride,
Win or lose, he had joy with Lee by his side.
God gifted us first with a son, Garrison, full of grace,
Who shares PopPop’s love of history, his physical features and heartspace.
Then came our daughter, Jennifer, my own mirrored twin,
For him, a reminder love and beauty grow from within.
We danced through the joy of milestones and cheers,
Each moment with him are treasures so dear.
But illness crept in—two long, weary years,
With surgeries, setbacks, and unspoken fears.
Still, I was there, through it all—every trial,
Holding his hand, loving him all the while.
In Raleigh, we knelt and our prayers were heard,
Each moment a mercy, each silence a word.
His body grew tired, his spirit worn,
Until the Lord called him home one morn.
Now resting above in peace and in light,
With my Heavenly Father, all is made right.
So I will not mourn, but lift up my eyes—
We'll meet once again in heavenly skies.
For love never ends, and joy will not cease,
In God's perfect home, in eternal peace.
