Robert's obituary

Thank you for taking the time to remember and celebrate Robert O'Toole.

Robert will always be remembered for his youthful enthusiasm and incredible stories from his many adventures. His experiences in Brazil, Russia, Alaska, Hawai'i, and beyond filled us with amazement, bewilderment, and sometimes more questions.  I always told Robert to write a book.  The stories you could have heard...well, maybe not all the stories.

Robert has lived many lives, including as a world-renowned wildlife photographer, business professional, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.  During his all-too-short time with us, he impacted each of us...that is why his absence leaves us all with such an indelible void.  He was one of the few people I could always call to hang out with; even if it weren't anything I thought he would be remotely interested in, he would show up.  Maybe his innate curiosity is why he became such a world traveler with friends from around the world.

Robert is survived by his partner Tatyana O'Toole and in the loving memory of his friends and extended family.

We ask you to contribute what you can to help with the cremation and funeral expenses of our friend. The memorial service, where his ashes will be scattered into the Ocean that he so loved, will be held in early Autumn. Details will be provided as soon as they are finalized.
