It is with great sorrow and sadness, the Nowlin family announce the passing Robert Nowlin, Sr.

On July 15, 2023, Robert Nowlin, Sr., 84 of Baltimore, MD, passed away at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by family.

Robert Nowlin was born on January 30, 1939 to Ross Nowlin and Helen Allen Nowlin in Baltimore, MD. He attended the Maryland School for the Blind and then 2 years of college.

Over his life Robert held several jobs to include a Medical Transcriptionist, Church Receptionist, and Radio Dispatcher. In addition to his work and family, Robert spent many hours volunteering within his community. He served as the President of the Pen Lucy Community for several years; helping to keep the community clean, fighting to keep the streets safe, and working to leave a better future for all.

Robert loved to cook, to read, and to work with his hands. He spent the summers sitting on the porch with family and friends listening to 'Oldies but Goodies'.  He loved listening to his favorite teams play, the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, and Maryland Terps Basketball.

Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Helen Nowlin, daughter, Teresa Eaton and son, Robert Nowlin, Jr.

Robert is survived by his wife Erlene, 4 daughters; Brenda Bethea, Della Myers, Elaine Tillman, Sheera Nowlin, and 1 son; Justin Nowlin;

Family and Friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Baltimore, July 29, 2023 at 11 AM.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Blessed Sacrament Church of Baltimore.
