It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Rescue Rob" Penny, a man renowned for his jovial spirit, a relentless desire to help others, and his exceptional ability to fill a room with laughter. Born on November 12, 1959, Robert drew his last breath on May 5, 2024, leaving an undeniable void in the hearts of countless people who loved him dearly.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Penny, step-son Mike Olson, and an adorable granddaughter, Mikenzie Lynn Olson . He also leaves behind other treasured family members; Rick Harding and Family his ex-partner Trena Wilfong, cousin Sandy Villa and Monica Russo, aunt Jeanne Jackson, Mary Villa,Richard Villa,Mike Villa,Debra Schildberg, Thomas Rodriguez,and many nieces and nephews and close family friend Lulu Barry. He now joins his parents, Audrey Rodriguez and Earl Jack Penny, and Grandmother Gramma Holmes, his brother Dean Penny. who preceded him in passing.
Known by many as "Rescue Rob," Robert was always there when anyone needed him. His tireless efforts to assist others exemplified his selfless nature, which combined with his humorous and bubbly personality, made him a favorite wherever he went. Nothing was too much trouble for Robert, and this tireless dedication will forever remain his legacy.
A man of faith, Robert’s religious baptism was a significant event in his life. It led him to work with the scouts, where he utilized his unique skill with paracord to educate and inspire the youth. This, along with his love and talent for golf, was among his greatest accomplishments.
Robert’s passing leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, assistance, and a lesson for us all in the noble act of putting others before oneself. He was a man who was truly loved and will be profoundly missed. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life lived with purpose, compassion, and an immeasurable gift for bringing joy to others.
