Robert Newton went home to Jesus on March 20, 2024 at age 76.

Robert was born to Robert E and Ellen Newton on September 13, 1947 in California.  As a child, Bob loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and nature walks. 

Robert met his first wife Shirley and married her in 1971. Shirley passed away of cancer in 1981. Bob later met Mary Louise Lane in the mid eighties at the Bend Riverside Motel where they both worked. They married July 27, 1991 in Bend, Oregon on Mary's birthday.  Mary lovingly helped Bob raise his two children, Robert Stephen Newton Jr.  and Aaron Micheal Newton.

 Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Robert joins his first wife Shirley, parents Robert and Ellen,  sisters Bernadine Gruvor, Joice Crowder, Maryellen Bonwell, a brother Jerry Newton in Heaven. 

He is survived by his dearly loved wife Mary Newton from Oregon, two sons Rob (Gladys) Newton from California and Aaron (Cherylee) Newton from Utah, brother Tommy (Gloria) Newton from California, sister in law Linda Newton from Oregon and many nieces and nephews.

"He will swallow up death in victory and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces and the rebuke of His people shall he take away from off all the earth for the Lord hath spoken it." Isaiah 25:8
