  1. >Robert "Bob" Conrad, 88, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed peacefullyaway on May 21, 2025.


>Robert was predeceased by his parents A. Ogburn Conrad and Eva Mae Hutchins Conrad; his daughter, Regina Conrad Poindexter; former wife, Vivian Franklin Conrad; brother, Gene Conrad; sister, Karen Conrad Dorsett; and step son Glen Tig.

Bob is survived by his wife,  Wanda McLamb Conrad; granddaughter, Michelle Houck; grandson, David Rominger; great granddaughters, Victoria Houck and Zoe Rominger; step daughter, Chiquita Prestwood; brother in law, Preston Dorsett; a niece and nephew; and sister and brother in law, Charlotte McLamb and Steve Barker; as well as a number of bonus children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will remember him fondly as simply “Bob”.

Bob served six years in the Naval Reserve while living in Winston Salem and retired from Noland Company as a sales rep in the 70’s.  He and Vivian then moved to Emerald Isle and he again retired with over 20 years of service as Director of Public Works of the Town of Emerald Isle as well as the Emerald Isle Fire Dept.

A celebration of his life will be held in Butner, NC, at First Baptist Church Butner, 200 West D Street, on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm after which the family will receive visitors in the Family Life Center.
