Robert was a polite and caring fellow veterinary student at KSU. He never made fun of me as several other students enjoyed doing consistently. Additionally, he and several other classmates made hilarious and superb videos about veterinary student life at Kansas State U. in 1980 and on.
I met Dr Musil as a relief vet. He was always fun to talk to and our conversations at work always had a word of the day or lesson of the day. The last shift with him was one to remember. We had a cat that was just terrible (those were the words from the owner herself) and it needed vaccines. With the cat gloves & fishnet we got it vaccinated. It was definitely an appointment to remember. Thank you Dr. Musil for all the knowledge & fun memories. You were such a fantastic soul to work with!
Ethan and I are very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. At Troop 425, he was a wonderful leader for the boys and a great coach to other adult leaders and parents. Some of Ethan’s favorite memories in scouting were the yearly planning conference trips to the Musil cabin for boating and water sports. Our thoughts are with you.

Bob definitely taught me to … ‘not take yourself too seriously’ - and you never know what ‘hidden talents’ you might be ‘harboring’ …. ( his amazing acting talents in our Vet Vittles skit - ‘Peter PreVet Gets into Vet School’ - still makes me smile 😊) - but such a life and legacy - Dr Bob - left a big ‘wake’ 🛥️ 💨 - and what beautiful children and grandkids - know he was an awesome Gramps 😎 💛🌻

My condolences to Bob's family. I knew Bob through Scouting and Church worship. Shared many stories and memories over the years. He always had a positive outlook and a zest for life. We will miss him.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Vet school Class of ‘80 had some great times together and always enjoyed reunions and seeing you and Bob. May all your wonderful memories of Bob help you smile a bit through the tears. Pete and Mary Kay Sherlock
Enjoyed the many Troop 425 outings that Bob was a part of. He always had a way to get a laugh or make everyone smile. I'll have to erect a 'Bob' cairn along one of the many trails we hiked together.

I lived in OP during the 90’s and met Bob at Rotary. We had 3 big things in common: golf, cigars and an occasional beer!

My heart broke learning of his death. Less than 60 days ago, we were talking about a golf trip.

My prayers are with Ilona and the family!

To your family, I am so grateful to be introduced to Bob through Troop 425 when my son Brock joined the troop.  An amazing human whose generous spirit was widespread through many endeavors. This world is a better place because of Bob and he will be missed by many.

Ilona

I was very saddened to hear of Bob’s passing.

I feel blessed that I was able to see you and Bob at our reunion 2 summers ago

You have my deepest sympathy and Prayers.

Your Friend

Rick Cockerill.

My condolences to the entire Musil Family. Robert was such a wonderful person and a supportive KSU Vet Med Class of 1980 member and lastly such an asset to mankind.
Bob has been an important part of my life for 49 yrs. I can’t believe he is gone, I can’t imagine the grief the Musil family is going through. I am grieving along side you. Let’s all cherish the many memories and good times so he will not be forgotten but celebrated.

Ilona and family,  We are truly saddened with Bob's passing. He was so fun to be with and I will treasure the last time I was him at the farm with Liz and Don, sorting through his parents estate.  The stories and laughter will remain with us forever.  Blessings and love,  Marilyn & Bruce
Ilona and family, I am sorry for your loss. It’s a loss for so many of us as well, this world will have a pretty big empty space without Bob in it. I have lots of good memories of our time in vet school and through the years, I am so glad to have known him. God bless you all.
Ilona and family, I was so sad to hear of Bob's passing.  I remember meeting him when I started working at the Vet Diagnostic Lab at KSU (1974).   He was also my Lab partner our Freshman year at Vet School......what a fantastic individual!  I saw him a few years ago at Manhattan for a reunion.  He still had that amazing sense of humor and smile.  Thanks for the great memories Bob!
Ilona and family, my condolences…Bob was a class act and leaves quite a legacy… cherish the good memories.  We all have many good memories of you and Bob dating back to our vet school days that we will never forget.❤️🙏🏼Katie Blunk
Ilona and family - I am beyond sorry for your loss - I know Bob left a big ‘wake’ of friends, family - and wonderful memories filled with love and laughter (!) - I’m so grateful I got to see the Musil’s at the last KSU Reunion - they were certainly the ‘dynamic duo’ - and I know Bob will be - more than missed - love and condolence to all / Marby Hambright 💛🌻
I was so sad when I heard the news of Robert's passing.
