Robert's obituary

Robert Michael Sakowski was born in New Brunswick, NJ on July 6, 1941.  He passed into eternity on June 26, 2023 at 2:30am ET joining the love of his life, his wife of nearly 56 years, Wanda, his oldest child Robert, Jr. (aka Mick) and his parents Michael and Pearl Sakowski of Sayreville NJ.  He was just shy of 82 years old.  Robert was lovingly referred to as Bobby by his devoted wife Wanda and he was known as Bob to his many friends.

Bobby is survived by a son, Steven Sakowski of The Woodlands, Texas and his wife D'Ann and their two children Bella and Sophia.

Bobby is also survived by a daughter Samantha Amaral of Clermont, Florida.

Bobby married Wanda Lois Smith on March 21, 1964 and shared a life filled with both joys and challenges for more than 55 years.  They showed the world how to endure trials, tribulations and the happiest of times together on a foundation created by our Heavenly Father.  He was the proud father of three children: Mick, Steven and Samantha.  Whatever their needs were throughout life, he was always willing to help however he could.  He loved his family fiercely all the days of his life.

He attended school in Sayreville NJ. He is a veteran, having served in the USAF 1959-66.  He was employed as a Computer Engineer for more than 30 years, and then began a new career working in the oil and gas industry where he faithfully served Bankoff Oil for 15 years.  Bob retired in 2004 and relocated from Tulsa, OK with his wife, Wanda to enjoy a more relaxed life in Orlando, Florida.

Bob contracted covid January 31, 2021, which started a 2.5 year healthcare crisis.  He fought through many health related problems always with a smile on his face and gratitude to all the medical professionals who helped him over the years.  He was especially thankful for Dr. Christina Chen and Dr. Joel Garcia.  Prior to his passing, Bob elected to dedicate his body to science upon his death and be cremated once the study is complete.  A memorial will be held at some time in the future where his ashes will be co-mingled with Wanda's as this was his dying wish.

Thank you to all who have reached out to our family during this difficult time.
