Robert (Rob) B. Melton, 71, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on the 22nd December, 2023 at the VA medical center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Rob was born on the 5th of December 1952 in Coffeyville, KS, the eldest child of Kenneth E. and Marjorie L. Melton. Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served 21 years with distinction doing something he loved. Following his military retirement, he moved his family to Branson, MO.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, his brother Michael T. Melton, and his brother Christopher R. Melton.

He is survived by his wife – Sharon Mace of Springfield, MO; his son – Joshua Melton of Springfield, MO; his daughter – Heather Durbin (husband Corey) of Lebanon, IL; two granddaughters – Audrey and Blake; his siblings – Kent of CO and Sherri of MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO on the 5th of January, 2024 at 3pm.
