Robert's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Lee Mazyck on April 20, 2026. Born on June 22, 1955, Robert lived a life filled with laughter, honesty, and an unwavering work ethic. His cheerful disposition, funny anecdotes, and candor enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Left to honor his memory and carry forward his legacy are his sons, Robert Renard Mazyck and Diaquice Duval Mazyck, ex-wife Sheryl Brown and his daughter-in-law, Devi Mazyck Gomez. His sisters, Janie Mazyck, Charlene Manigault, Vanessa Costen, and Jacqueline Mazyck, and his brothers, Lester, Leon, and Danny Mazyck, will forever cherish their memories of him.

Robert’s inspiring life will live on through his grandchildren Deonte Mazyck Gomez, Amayah Mazyck Gomez, Samod Stinson, Jaylen Stinson, Ariel McKinley-Mazyck, and Kai’lo Hart. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Mazyck and sister Louester Shaw.

A man of boundless spirit and unwavering honesty, Robert was often heard saying, "Be a hard worker." This ethos was not only the cornerstone of his life but also a beacon for those he left behind. Through his words and actions, he instilled the importance of diligence in all endeavors in his loved ones.

Robert L. Mazyck was a beacon of joy and honesty in our lives. His memory will continue to light our path, inspire us to work heartily, and remind us that a good laugh is never too far away. We are blessed to have known him, and although he will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
