Robert Lee Loren Jr., 67, of Portage, Michigan, passed away on February 11, 2025.

Born on October 20, 1957, in Farmington, West Virginia, Robert spent his early years there before his family relocated to Warren, Michigan. He was a proud member of the Robert S. Tower High School Class of 1975.

Following high school, Robert chose to serve his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany as a Specialist 4.

A passionate sportsman and treasure hunter, Robert was known as "Digginman" among those who shared his love for metal detecting. He found great joy in uncovering lost treasures and historical relics, always eager for the next discovery.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia (King) Loren and Robert Loren Sr.; his brother, John Loren Sr.; and his nephew, John Loren Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Aimee Loren and Ashley Loren; grandchildren, MaKenzie Mease and Dustin Best; niece, Janet Kelley; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s honor to the American Legion or The Wounded Warrior Project.
