My story about Robert isn’t one in specific. More-so, it’s a reflection of the general time frame when I had the blessing of being his neighbor for a year back in 2007 when our paths crossed while living in Homestart. He always wore a warm smile and had something comical or friendly to say; certainly nothing small during a tumultuous time when my mother and I welcomed any kindness that came our way. Robert and his family became more than just neighbors or acquaintances to me and my Mom, they became our friends and our surrogate family. I have nothing but fond memories of those days and I’m grateful for the relationships, times and life experiences that blossomed from our Time with Robert, Cathy, and Kevin.
