Bob's obituary
Bob was born on April 20, 1941 to Harold & Alvena (nee Sutton) Koepke in New London, WI. After graduating from Shiocton High School in 1959, he went on to join the Navy for 8 years.
He retired from civil service after 30 years as a nuclear electronics mechanic at the naval shipyards.
In 1961, he met Udith Grimm at Bainbridge Naval Training Center while they were both enlisted, and they wrote to each other while he was out to sea. They wed in 1963, going on to have 4 children.
After retiring in 1995, Bob spent his time writing a book about his faith in God, reading fantasy fiction, listening to music and watching movies.
Bob was known for his cheerfulness and teasing. His standard greeting always ended with "God bless you", and you knew he meant it.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and 7 siblings. He is survived by his spouse, 4 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 2 sisters.
He will be cremated and his ashes will eventually be interred in his hometown. A virtual memorial service will be held for his close family and friends.
