Robert "Tom" Kirby, age 63, of Rifle Colorado, died unexpectedly on May 15th 2024 in Grand Junction Colorado. He was born in Gainesville, Florida in 1960 to J.T. and Effie Kirby.

Tom had a passion for computers and technology. Even as a child, Tom loved to take things apart to see how they worked, and would put them back together. He loved to tinker. His wife Margie would comment "He would break it just so he could fix it."

Tom graduated Boca Raton High School before studying at Santa Fe Community College where he obtained his AS in Computer Engineering Technology and AS in Electrical Engineering Technology in Gainesville, FL.

Tom was preceded in death by his Father, JT Kirby and is survived by his wife Margie Kirby; his daughter Colleen (Andrew) Borneman; son Matthew (Victoria) Kirby; grandchildren, MacKenna, Madison, Camryn, John, and Iris; his mother Effie Kirby, his brothers John (Dee) and Joe (Rose); his sister Penny (Ken).

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 22nd at 11:00 AM in the family church at Antioch Baptist Church 3612 NW 177th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609
