Colleen, I know this is a great loss for you. I wanted to thank you for being with Bob until the end, and doing the best that you could to make his final years comfortable.
Bob was a wonderful friend of mine, like the “real” brother I never had. It was exciting to me to help him establish his first dental office, and see him confidently build his business. His confidence, compassion, and caring were qualities that I observed and adopted myself, in both my corporate life and in my own business. His inherent qualities, his friendship, and his support contributed to my success in both my business and personal life.
Bob became my daughter’s best “Buckeye” friend, giving her the knowledgeable sports support that I was not able to provide. She called him “uncle Bob,“ and really felt that he was a member of our family.
Bob’s legacy will continue on through many friends and neighbors and especially relatives who have adopted his qualities, and will now carry them forward through their generation and beyond.
I love you Bob.

I've known Bob since fifth grade at Cornell Heights, where he would help me with my math. We remained friends through high school, even though he went to Colonel White and I went to Fairview. We'd occasionally work out together at the Y (I'd mostly watch in amazement as Bob did one-handed push-ups). In 1969 or '70 when I was stationed in Taiwan and Bob was in the Philippines, he came over to Taiwan and got in touch with me for some serious R&R. Years later, he invited my family and me to watch the Dayton Airshow from his in-laws' front yard across the street from the Dayton Airport. In the late '90s, my son Jason took one of Bob's clinical courses at OSU Dental School, and the three of us had lunch.
Although I saw him only rarely after that, at a couple Fairview reunions he "crashed," and a class of '62 Colonel White reunion we both crashed, I frequently received news of him from our mutual friends, Bruce Hulman and Dick Prigozen. Bob was a prince of a guy, whom I'll continue to think of fondly and often. A wonderful man, gone too soon.

Dear Coleen our condolences to you on the loss of you beloved husband Bob. He was special. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
My dear cousin Bob who was the most generous, very kind and caring person. He will be missed by all he touched. I spent so much time with him traveling, going to games, and having lots of fun times. He showed empathy and kindness to everyone he came in contact with. RIP Bobby.
