Bob's obituary
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Julia Parsell and his children, Robert (Courtney) John Hoffman, Jr., Rachel (Ryan) Louise Schoonover, Andrew Charles Hoffman; grandchildren, Robert John Hoffman III, Austin Daniel Hoffman, expected granddaughter Schoonover. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol (Luke) Anne Rebain, Thomas (Lori) Casper Hoffman, Theresa (Kurt) Mary Murphy.
Bob was born in Detroit on September 19, 1957 to Thomas Casper Hoffman and Patricia Wilson Hoffman. He graduated with his undergraduate degree from Lawrence Technological University and his graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He spent his career working in the automotive industry and retired as the Director of Engineering from Jabil Circuit. In January 2010, Bob and Julia Parsell, a loving mother of three and Certified Integrative Health Coach, established a home together.
Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed brewing beer and listening to classic rock. He found enjoyment in getting outside and spending time with his family at their family cabin on the coast of Lake Superior. Bob was a handyman that took pride in his work with his most recent project being an office/brew room he built in the basement of their log home. He was always willing to assist his family with whatever home improvement project questions they had.
In lieu of a funeral, Bob’s wishes were for a celebration of life. The family will notify loved ones when this celebration has been scheduled.
