Robert John Allen passed away after complications from Parkinson's disease on June 19, 2021, at his home in Avila Beach, with Maureen and his daughter by his side. A memorial will be held at the Indian Hill/San Luis Bay Mobile Estates Clubhouse on July 17, 2021 at 2 pm. Bob was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 22, 1937. He matriculated with a B.S. degree in horticulture at the University of Guelph in 1960 and married his wife Maureen on July 7, 1962. He worked for Del Monte for over 40 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother Helen Fraser Allen (Dewar) and father John Haliburton Allen.
A devoted christian and passionate sportsman (curler, skiier, golfer, fisherman), Bob remained active even in his last months through . Throughout his life he continuously active in his church as well the Master Gardener program, Toastmasters, Bob loved to travel and life's moves included living in Chatham, ON, Burlington, ON, Pleasanton, CA Pine Grove, CA Batavia, IL
Bob is survived by his wife Maureen Denice Allen (Marshall), by his daughters Linda Beth Wadsworth (Allen) (Bob Wadsworth) and Karen Denise Allen (Tom Spillane); grandchildren Joe, Erin and Tomas Spillane and Emma and Sarah Wadsworth; siblings Bruce Allen and Pat Yaccato.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Central Coast Home Health & Hospice, Rock Steady Boxing Dave Sanchez, the Central Coast Parkinson Association, Grace Central Coast Church, and the entire Indian Hill Community.
