Robert J. Wolfe, 96 years old, died on June 1 in Port Charlotte, Florida.

He was born in Hollis, Queens on March 13, 1929.  He spent the last 45 years living in Bergen County, NJ before moving down to Florida earlier this year. He is survived by his son Robert Wolfe, daughter Mary Wolfe as well as his granddaughter Lily Wolfe. He is predeceased by his brothers Donald and George Wolfe, sister in-law Laurie Wolfe, nephew Tim, his parents Florence and George Wolfe and late wife, Joan Jessup Wolfe.

Bob’s focus in life was family, religion and business. He rose from working in the mail room at 17 years old to becoming VP of Sales at Schumacher Fabrics and had a successful career as a consultant afterwards. He attended church most every day. Golf was an important part of his life and he was part of the Lions Club, volunteering for charities and soup kitchens.

Bob was an outgoing, social person with many friends and colleagues across the country. He touched many of us with his kindness and humor.

We will miss him deeply.

There will be a memorial service at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458 on Saturday June 14 at 11:15 AM.
