I was so sad to hear of his passing recently. I had the rare pleasure of working with Bob on a project recently and became fast friends. He had a big heart and made the world a better place. He was always made me laugh and I enjoyed swapping stories with him. He was loved my many and will be missed by all. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends.
I first met Bob in Kenya with a small team of expats who oversaw the seismic project, conditions were not good in many ways, however as expats we made the best of it.
We quickly got to know each other around the camp fire ,telling our tales.
Bob and myself came together like strawberries and cream, trusting in the safety decisions we had to make during the project.
We continued our friendship in Kurdistan where Bob managed to get me onto the safety team.
Our friendship grew again recently in September 2019 when Bob and Kelly
came to stay with myself and Alison at our home in Cornwall UK, while on their tour.
We will treasure our memories always.
We love you both and always will.

Knew Bob way back in junior high as his football coach, great young man! Met him as "Wrangler Bob" years later at Yellowstone. So sorry to hear of his untimely passing - sincere condolences to Bob's family.

We have so many happy memories of “Coach Bob”. It was so obvious how much he enjoyed coaching the kids, giving up so many weekends and weeknights for these girls. Oh, and the drama! He handled it all so well.
Bob, you are going to be missed!
Bob was a fantastic man, great coworker- he’ll be truly missed by all he touched in his life. Prayers Bob and Family. Condolences
I am very sorry for your loss. I went to school with Bob and he was such a nice guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family ❤️
I met Bob in 9th grade. To say that was a life changing event would be a great understatement. From involvement in church youth events, to intense tennis matches, to introducing me to Gustavus Adolphus College - no one had a bigger impact on my teenage years than him. I’m sure the heavens are being filled with laughter with some TX sized stories of his life. I love ya man. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Holmes family.
Bob was very proud of job and was more than willing to show his workplaces and his office. His office, for the most part, was his White Ford Truck. However his explanation of his job and explaining the various factors involved always amazed me. Even though I did not understand what each portion he showed me sure did not keep him from explaining.
When the notice came of Bob’s passing, I thought NO it’s a bad joke. In less than a week from our last visit, Bob was gone.
I will always remember Bob as being serious but could also enjoy a good laugh.
There will always be a blank place in my life without him. I will always love and remember you Bob.
I’m so very sorry for your loss, much love, hugs, and prayers to your precious family. ♥️🙏
