My memory of Bob in HS and College was that he was always kind and was good to everyone. There is no better legacy.
Very, very sad to hear. My heart goes out to all of you in Bob’s circle (which I’m sure is quite large). A more generous person I’ll never meet. First met Bobby through my UCONN friends from the Stratford area in the seventies. Became good friends and roommates in the eighties. Just a few of the many highlights...World Music Festival in Montego Bay, Newport Jazz Festival (hi M.E), epic Halloween Party and so much more. Love you...rest in peace.
Deepest condolences to the Harries family. Although I have been away from CT for a long time, I remember Bob well. We were teammates on the Stratford Eagles when we were kids and remained friends afterwards. I am very sad to hear of his passing yet very happy I had the privilege of knowing him. He had an infectious laugh, he was a very kind man, and lots of fun to be around. RIP Bob Harries, you made lots of people happy and this world's a better place because you were in it.
Fond memories of good times and adventures. A man with a heart of gold if ever there was. Rest easy Bobby ❀️
Sincere condolences to the family from the Cartiglia Family. Many fond memories of the "two Bob's" growing up and their many adventures together! Always a good guy with a great heart.
Great friend in High School, after class basketball,RIP "Floor General" and may God bless. Condolences to the family.
We will miss you, Bob. Thanks for being there for my sister. May the golden light of $DEITY shine down upon you forever.
My memories of Bob are of an easy going intelligent guy, witty-joker type who played a solid game of basketball. Bob and I played for Bunnell in 1973 our sophomore year. We went 1-19. We would sit there deep on the bench hoping not to go in with a cold sweat. Although my memory is a little fuzzy I remember us chuckling at the antics out on the floor.. He had this high arching shot that he put up off the dribble that was his signiture. He was also a pioneer of the no-look pass. Although I have not seen Bob since then his passing saddens me. I am sure that our peers at that time see his passing as the passing of a legend. -kerwin lanz

He was in my hospital here the last three months. I saw him almost every day. When he was coherent enough to talk, he always asked how his friends were doing or when’s the next gig. The nursing staff and I knew how sick he was but he fought back. He eventually made it out of hospital but returned days after.

Bobbie was an amazing guy and it is hard to believe no longer with us on this level. You rarely needed to make plans with Bobbie. He always just popped in. Could have been creek show, Jorma, Little feat or at Riders house.

Thanks for being with us Bobbie.
Bob and I graduated from the same High School, the same year (1975) and went off to the same college (CCSU). More importantly, we shared a deep love for our favorite band, Max Creek. At every show, Bob was always in and out of view, mostly smiling and hugging people. His admiration of the band was so steadfast; he would brag to me about how they learned new songs with barely a practice - sometimes none at all. And when my 6 y/o accidentally reset my phone to factory settings and lost all my Creek shows, who rallied the facebook groups to post their favorite shows to help me build a new collection and "help a brother out." It was Bob. I'll miss him.
Bob, I miss you already. Such a good soul and kind man. Much love to friends and family.
Donna and family-I was so very sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I only met him once but I have to say I knew right away he had a beautiful heart and soul. You have told me so many wonderful stories about him. Such a good person and much too young to leave. God must have a plan for him. He’s now with your Dad. They are your angels and will watch over all of you. Always in your heart. Much love and God bless. Gail and Greg Chernak. β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™
For a lifetime of friendship....frolic....and vision...I bid you fare-thee-well...for as sure as the sun does shine...so shall your light...
Such a wonderful man who has blessed us all with his honesty, integrity, humor and kindness. You certainly made the world a better place, my Robert James. Much love to you until we meet again. xoxo, M. E.
West Hill Lake, Block Island, Boston, Cape Cod, San Francisco, Napa, Rome, Venice, Milan, and so many more memories. Love you Bob. Peace be with you
So Sorry! Thinking of all of you at this time! Diane and Wayne
