Robert Edward Hammond, age 69, passed away on April 11, 2021. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Debbie; father of Carrie and Linda; and grandfather ("Pa") to Katelyn, Michael, Robert, Clarice and Gracie. Bob was born in New York on July 1, 1951. He graduated from Island Trees High School in Levittown, NY and received a chemical engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines. His long career with Mobil Oil brought him and his family to live in various places including Westfield, NJ; Fairfax, VA; Parkland, FL; and Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia.

Upon retirement from Mobil, Bob and Debbie opened a Melting Pot restaurant in Birmingham, AL which they loved running together.

Bob's family is certain upon entering the Pearly Gates he skipped the People section and went right to the dogs to be greeted by the adored family pet Gypsy who we lost in 2003. We will forever miss Bob's quirky sense of humor, love of life, passion for his family and time spent together in Watercolor, FL.
