Robert “Gregory” Mathews, 69, of Elkton, VA, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday June 4, 2025.

Greg was born on August 23, 1955 in Warren County, VA. He worked as a professional house painter for 45 years. He was a longtime, dedicated, baptized Jehovah’s Witness. He had very strong faith and he loved to tell anyone that would listen about his Creator, Jehovah, and the blessings to come in the near future. (Revelation 21:4)

Greg was a kind, gentle man that loved life and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Mathews. 2 stepdaughters, Alyssa & Michele. His 2 daughters, Melissa Mathews & Tracey Wilson (Jason). 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents Elwood and Maxine Mathews, 2 brothers Leon and Miller Mathews.
