Dear Beverly, I finally found Jerry’s obituary.  Mary Ann and I are truly sorry for your loss.  We only met late in our careers in IBM, but quickly valued his and your friendship.   When I hadn’t received any response to my email I thought something may have happened.  Finally found his obituary.  Truly miss the friendship.  Love to have you as a guest any time you come to north Florida.

😥Carl and Mary Ann

Jerry introduced Lee to golf at Oakmont. They played for years. After golf they went to Dallas and had oysters. We will remember you Jerry, rest in peace.

We first met Jerry and Bev when we moved to Texas in 1985.   We became great friends since we lived 2 houses apart in Highland Shores.  We had in common that a majority in the neighborhood were new to Texas.  It didn’t take long and we became such great friends. So many memories with our families and our friends.  It’s true, Jerry was always 29 1/2.  It was several years before we really knew his real age.

He was always ready for a good time, in his quieter way, but we proceeded to have many great times together most weekends and some days during the week.  I think our kids pretty much knew where to look for us , if we were not at home, one house or the other.  I wish we could back up time many days and redo it all again.

Jerry Mills will be missed. He was a great husband, a great friend and a wonderful Dad and Stepdad. Jerry, you will live on in our loving memories of you.

Much love,

I have a very brief memory of Jerry coming to our home in Endicott.  His obituary sums up a life well lived.  God bless.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. Growing up in the Mills family was a true blessing!

I'm so sorry to learn of Jerry's passing.  Kenna Lou sent me the news.  My dad (Ed) and Jerry were cousins and I remember Jerry visiting at our home when he was in Endicott to see family.  God bless him and all of you.

What a beautiful tribute to a fun-loving and steadfast man. Well done, Papa Mills!

Beverly, Shareese and family - I love you all.  Praying for your peace and joy as you settle into your new normal. Jesus truly does comfort those who mourn.

Beverly, Shareese and family- I first met Jerry when I was 17 and knew him as Shareese’s stepdad but I thought he was her grandpa. (Haha)

Over the last 30+ years that I have known Shareese, Jerry has always been faithfully by Beverly’s side.

I am so grateful that Jerry’s job moved Shareese to Texas in the 1980s. Shareese eventually became the person who not only introduced me to Jesus but has been a sister to me after 30 something years. I will always remember Jerry as a sweet grandpa!

Love, Kristie
