Trish and Sheila,

Your father and husband was a wonderful man who I enjoyed working with. He was one of the best and will be sorely missed by all of us that knew him! May your memories always make you smile. Sympathies, Valerie Hunter

Nick and I were very fond of Robert.  Nick enjoyed some really deep theological and interesting conversations that enriched Nick's life. Robert was so good at going deep.  He lived a full life that blessed many people.  We will miss him!

My deepest condolences to Sheila, Tricia, and the family. Robert was a great man who served his community with not only amazing food but with kindness and humility. Robert always thought about others above himself and touched so many lives. He will be missed deeply by those who knew him well and including his sense of humor!
Rob will be truly missed, he was a generous, caring man who will always be with us in our hearts. Our sincere condolences to Sheila and family.

Lynn and I extend our sincere condolences to Robert’s family.

I have known Robert since 1963, having grown up next door to the Flemings and sharing many cherished holiday dinners with them over the years. Robert was always incredibly kind and generous to us, especially during our visits to San Antonio.

We are truly stunned by this loss, having just seen Robert so recently—at our brother James’s funeral and again at Daniel and Victoria’s wedding in March. It’s hard to grasp that he’s gone.

Please know that our thoughts are with Sheila, Tricia, Kathy, Patrick and Thomas during this difficult time. You have our deepest sympathy.

As a fellow graduate of St. Mary's and a "Northerner" (from Wisconsin) I got to know Bob and his brother, P. J. more through fellow friends of theirs from Mt. Prospect, IL.  that also went to St. Mary's  He worked long and hard hours at the St. Mary's Cafeteria and many hysterical stories and superb food went hand in hand.  When he returned to San Antonio and opened the first "Magnolia" it became the gathering ground for lunch for myself and other good friends from St. Mary's.  He was always so gracious to stop by and say hello and "warned us" to be kind with St. Mary's stories to Magnolia staff!  I remember once a visit at the Bitters location and asked him "why in the world don't you have a location in the Medical Center, you would do incredible".........all he said was "sssshhhh, its coming, soon" and we laughed together and what an incredible location he picked.  God bless his family, what memories he has given to so many.  Peace of the Lord with you all.
Our deepest condolences to Sheila and family.  Rob will be forever remembered as the most gracious supporter of the KT Veterans Group.  I enjoyed his friendly disposition and everyone looked forward to his most delicious pancakes. He will be greatly missed.

We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of Robert Fleming Jr, a Friend and Mentor.

Please accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Robert was a remarkable person — thoughtful, kind, and deeply respected by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy, both personal and professional, will live on in the lives he touched and the countless contributions he made.

May you find peace and comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the cherished memories you hold close. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family.

We were at a social event and got talking about Oak wilt. Rob spoke up and said there’s  two professors working on Oak wilt and making good progress. He mentioned the college and the professors by name. Their names were fairly unique. I thought to myself. There’s no way in God‘s green earth anyone could know that off the top of their head. I looked it up. And by God, he was absolutely right. Rob had more facts at his fingertips than any person I have ever known. He was a true friend and we will both miss him dearly.

My sincere condolences to Robert's family.  I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  Robert was such a wonderful, kind and caring man who will be greatly missed in our community.  He was part of our family at Family Service.
Rob was a good friend who always made us smile. He was a kind man with a big heart. Rest in peace brother Rob!
My condolences to the family.   I am saddened by his death.  He was a kind and generous man to our community here in KT.
I worked with Robert and his family for a little over three years. They were all always very kind to me. I remember him telling me the story about the  Pfannekuchen and where it came from and why he had it on the menu.

I am so sorry to hear this. Rob was a kind, generous, giving man loved by everyone he met. He was so supportive of the kids & families served by Family Service & so many other nonprofits he cared about. He will be missed and remembered by so many. May he rest in peace. Sending thoughts, prayers and gentle hugs to Tricia & Sheila and your family.

Jim and I are so very sorry to learn of Robert’s death. He has been such a big advocate for KT BoB and has given me advice on making it a non profit. Every time he spoke, I got a little bit smarter. We will miss him but  know we will see him again one day.
Robert had a big heart and was a warrior. He called everyone "brother" and meant it. Such a cool dude. So sad to leave this earth so early. We loved him. And his wife and little dog, too. 💕Sheila and Fritz
Rob was unique. One of the 'good guys'. Just as sharp as a tack in conversation, and no matter the topic.  He will be missed greatly. My prayers are with Rob, and Sheila, and the family he leaves behind. This is an especially sad day for those who knew him and called him friend. May your soul RIP, Rob.
