I miss my soccer coach buddy and dear friend, Ty.  He was a great friend and so easy to be with. I think of him often. Never forgotten.
Sue and family,  I can't tell you how often I've thought of Ty and all of you in the past year, but it has been a lot.  It's kind of sad and ironic that it takes someone's passing to bring them to the forefront of our thoughts. But, like Ty always was, I am smiling thinking of his smile and his devotion to you. I choose to celebrate a life well lived and his legacy-all of you. He was such a good person to call a friend and is missed.

I only knew Ty through helping him with his insurance needs. He was one of my favorite clients. Now that I can put a face on him and read what a lovely family he has I know why I had a good connection with him. He was a kind and understanding person. You have my condolences.

Ty's passing leaves a void for all of us and much more so for the family, but that void will be filled by the significant legacy he leaves.
Attending yesterday's memorial service allowed many of us to witness the treasures he has left behind, his incredible daughters, beautiful grandchildren and of course Sue.
Sue, I will miss my dear friend immensely, our phone calls and my memories of him patiently telling me how to help him rehab the house on Bayard. In our years in Mt Lebanon there is no neighbor I spent more time with than Ty, coaching the girls in soccer and managing the MLSA. We are always here for you.

Sue, I know from all of the loving posts you've received, that you will receive the same care and love that you have given to so many families in your years in Palliative Care. I knew Ty from his years as President of the Mount Lebanon Soccer Association. Ty was always an example of calm, professional, and discerning leadership, while also making everyone who served on that board, feel welcome and important. Our loss is heaven's gain.
Sue and the Ely girls, so sorry to hear about Ty, what a great man. It was a pleasure being a very small part of your lives. My thoughts are with you all. Bob Young
If you knew Ty like did for 47 or so years, you knew fun, decency, respect, love, support, acceptance, and all things good. Dan and I miss you greatly.

With Love - Jamie and Dan

Ty and I met in college and became good friends. We kept in contact throughout the years even if we settled and lived thousands of miles apart. He helped me greatly in those formative years of our late teens and his influence has remained with me to this day. I will miss him.

Hi Sue, Nick and I are so very sorry to hear this news. We have many fond memories of you, Ty, and the girls- especially our fun times at the lake, and sharing a troop of Brownie Scouts! Ty was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. And with 8 grandchildren, a terrific “papa“ as well! He will be greatly missed. We pray you will be comforted and strengthened by God and will be sustained by the love of your family and many friends. We hope to see you all next week. Love, Judy
