Robert's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Earl Whalen on May 23, 2024. A beloved uncle, dedicated attorney, and passionate community member, Robert's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Robert was a devoted dog lover, finding joy and companionship in his furry friends throughout his life. His compassionate nature extended to his professional life, where he served as an attorney for the Massachusetts Teachers Association. In this role, Robert tirelessly advocated for the rights and well-being of educators, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Robert was deeply involved in his community. He dedicated countless hours to local initiatives, always striving to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him. His generosity and dedication were evident in every project he undertook, leaving a lasting legacy of service and kindness.
Robert is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews: Matthew, Emily, Michelle, and Chris. He also leaves behind his cherished uncle Peter and aunt Judy. Robert was preceded in death by his brothers David and Timothy, as well as his parents, Robert "Bob" and Beverly.
The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date to celebrate Robert's life and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert's name to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, reflecting his lifelong passions and commitment to service.
Robert Earl Whalen will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his profession, and his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
