Robert's obituary
Robert Dubell Jr aged 65, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025 at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was surrounded by loved ones during his final days.
Robert was rich with love and compassion. He was deeply devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Robert was known for always telling each of his family members that they were his favorite!
Robert was also a die hard fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Game days were sacred to him and if he wasn't watching it then he was listening. Any plans made during the football season would typically revolve around the Ravens game.
Robert's affections extended to animals as well. Throughout his life he had adopted several dogs and cats for companionship. He loved watching nearby birds and other creatures in nature as well and would not think twice about helping an animal get out of harms way.
He was a man of faith. Robert found strength and comfort in his belief in God and spirituality.
Anyone who had the privilege of meeting him knew he was a fun-loving, light-hearted practical joker. Robert was always making silly puns and dad jokes and even in serious moments, he was trying to make you smile.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Venetia (Jones) & Robert Dubell SR, his sister Aurora Dubell Newton, and his beloved cat, Ralph. Robert is survived by his children Robert (Stephanie) Dubell III and Jillian (Albert) Smith; his grandchildren Alexander Volberding, Kylee Volberding, Logan Dubell and Gianna Smith; his brothers Daniel (Kathy) Dubell and Steven (Helain) Dubell; and his grandpuppies and kitties, Edgrr, Mallie, Buckey, and Adley.
