Robert “Bob” Donald Dodson, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his home in Graham, Texas. Memorial graveside services will be held on November 9, 2024 at 2 pm the Newcastle Cemetery Gazebo, with Wayne Peters, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Bob was born on September 13, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late “Jo” Eloise (Hargrove) and Robert Donald Harvill, Sr. He married Shirley Jean Franklin on February 14, 1976 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had a happy forty three years together before she preceded him in death in March of 2019. Bob was a printing press operator for many years and for 20 years was the owner and operator of Another Hole the Wall Cafe in Newcastle, Texas where hunters, fishermen and liars would gather to eat. He also was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan.

Bob is survived by his children: Kimberli Blackburne Martinez of Texas, Sheetia Gail Tozer of Oklahoma, William Monroe and wife Keitha of Texas, Kari P.R. Dodson of Oklahoma, and Angela Maier of Wisconsin. Two granddaughters: Yolonda Robinson and Ciara Dodson; one grandson: Jeremy Dodson; and his great grandchildren: Mason and Kahless Speed, and Caleb and Sarina Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Shirley Jean Dodson and one grandson Tanner Scott Freeman.
