Robert's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Burg Jr., a man of unwavering strength and infectious happiness, a steadfast family man, a loving soul, a animal lover, husband, and father, who left us on October 5, 2024. Born on April 2, 1949, Robert spent his 75 years on this earth endearing himself to all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A hard worker in every sense of the word, Robert dedicated his life to providing for his family and went above and beyond to support his wife's family too. He wasn't just a provider, but a pillar of strength, teaching us all to persevere in the face of adversity. His life, characterized by determination and resilience, serves as a testament to his strength, he never gave up even when he was told there was no hope.
Robert will forever be remembered, and missed by his daughter, Stacey Ann, and his daughter-in-law Tamara. His little sister Theresa, and 3 brother's, and his church family. His legacy is one of love, strength, and kindness. His tireless work ethic and his undying dedication to those he loved are lessons for us all. His spirit of helpfulness and his compassionate nature are traits that will continue to inspire us in his absence
He leaves behind many who will remember him as a truly happy, giving soul, and that after all is a mark of a truly great person. My father taught me strength, he taught me kindness. Through every step of my cancer I have been reminded of my father's strength to beat cancer 3 times, he was told 3 times he wouldn't make it, and each time he proved the doctors wrong. He loved his church St. Vincents DePaul of Albany NY, they were a part of his family. He loved seeing them, and spending holidays with them. My father was always the one to take me to the animal shelter to get a new rescue when my mother said no more.
His loss is deeply felt, but his memory will continue to guide and inspire those he has left behind. Today we mourn the loss of a great man, but in our hearts, Robert Burg Jr.'s legacy of strength, love, and kindness will forever live on.
