Bob, You were the best to work with while I was in Battalion 3 for 8 years! RIP Brother!
John Lamb
Dr. Bob and I worked together for 11 years at station 21 for 2 years when I was a rookie and then at 23's for9 years the remainder of my career. Bob was a gentle giant, I had the utmost regard working with Bob. Bob had 1 little thing that I'll always remember he loved Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, had it almost every shift.

I remember having several positive interactions with Captain Bratcher throughout my career with the OCFD as well as the OCFA. Bob was a solid paramedic and when working with "Doc Bob" in multi-casualty incidents the call just went better. Before the term emotional intelligence became a buzz term of todays work place Bob embodied all those traits that allowed him to be a servant leader. His patients were always better off when Captain Bratcher was their paramedic. His legacy has lived on in the firefighters lucky enough to have known him.
Bob was an awesome guy and found the perfect place to share his skills and brotherhood in the fire department. Came to know him as a Medic, Captain and later in lots of roles on incidents. Very caring, competent and always with insight and perspective helpful in tough situations. Such a loss here, but with his life as a guide, I know heaven became an even better place as he got on-scene.

Doctor Bob was a great guy. Worked with him when I was a probie Firefighter and many OT shifts as a medic. So many funny and great memories. Such a nice guy!
