There are so many memories I have with Robert, but one that came up just the other day was when we both had our tonsils out at the same time!     Our mom put us both together in our parents bed during the day, and we ate only ice cream and Mt. Dew (🥴🫩 ugh!!!).    But we played games and had each other as we got over the soreness!  And then another time we had strep throat at the same time too! And again we spent our days together recuperating!

Robert was my North Star! 🌟 and his nickname was Star! For me that was more than his starting position as an athlete! It was his radiant heart that made him shine so bright!     I miss him everyday but I know he’s right where he’s always wanted to be!   With all the STARS of heaven!                Thank you Robert for being a guiding star in my life! 🙏✨💖

It was exactly 1 yr ago at Easter! The Easter Iris' at his and Cynthia's home had bloomed just in time for Easter. He was in the care center, but Cynthia, He and I were still were able to celebrate Easter together watching the service from their church online. Jesus' presence was so strong in that time. Later that day we had a family zoom gathering with all the siblings and a few of the nieces and nephews. It really lifted his spirits. He never gave up even to the very end, that was just a few months later.
During that trip He remided me of his favorite Easter memory, of when he lived in Portland, OR. Every Easter he would get up at sunrise and go to the top of Mt. Tabor and watch the sunrise and pray.
I love you Robert, still feel you every day!! Happy Easter!

My Amazing brother was born with a huge heart of caring deeply for his family! He would always find time to talk with his nieces and nephews who needed a little extra guidance. As for he and I, he always had my back! He took his 'big brother' role very much to heart! It seemed he was always thinking of others and what they might need or want! He loved his daughter, Lillian and all his grandchildren beyond measure!

Other than being there at the very moment of his passing, I was able to spend 10 days with him and Cynthia both for Christmas and Easter! I still feel and talk to him everyday!
I am very sorry to hear of Bob's death. We were roommates and great friends in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a lovely, gentle, good natured and good-humored person, always. I went backpacking with him in the Pecos one Friday after school--I was the inexperienced backpacker at that time, and he was in charge of all the supplies.  After we set up camp and it was time to eat, he informed me that we were going to gather our food--he had been taking a class on wild edible plants of New Mexico! Other times, his family would treat our household (6 roommates) with Mexican dinners flown up from El Paso, made by the family's beloved housekeeper. We lost touch with each other, but I will never forget him.
I think the sound was bad at the memorial. But here is a video of my eulogy

I have so many good memories of Bob/Bobby/Robert, however you thought of him. He was so good-natured, and quick to laugh. Even when we had some disagreements, he was always kind. I miss him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family today. Love you so much, Lilli. xoxo
I had the privilege of working with Robert while he was teaching and coaching at Aledo High School. I cherished our friendship and always enjoyed his company. He will be missed.

Coach Boehler was a very caring individual, you could feel the love he had for his students and the excitement he had for our futures. Coach Boehler taught me not only A&P but to be more caring and when to lend a hand when it was most needed.

Thank you Coach Boehler

Bobby was a such a sweet, gentle guy. He was an incredible athlete (basketball). Girls were crazy about him! He was very smart and serious. I will never forget his hearty laugh. Rest in peace.
Our lives will not be the same without you. I feel you everyday and am so grateful I had you as my big brother! Thank you for always being there for me. You changed me life! Love you for ever

Bobby and  I grew up together and I spent many nights at his house. I remember the round maple table with the lazy Susan and eating Helen’s crepes and Clem treating me as just another Boehler. We would sleep in the front boys bedroom with his big brother David. I was always amazed at how empathetic Bobby was, even as a young boy, as evidenced by how well he cared for his siblings and others. Such great memories of a really great friend. You touched a lot of lives Rev, in many beautiful ways.

I am so glad you were there to hold his hand and pray the rosary with your dad in his final moments. He was so proud of you, Lilli.  I agree with Debbie- I will miss our long talks at your parties, but I know he is celebrating in heaven with your grandma.
I am so sad to hear of Bobby’s passing. I loved him like a brother. He was a fun, caring, respectful, loving human being. My love and condolences to Cynthia, Lilli, and all the grandkids and to Richard, Bonnie, Arifa, and Kathy. Our world is a bit dimmer, but heaven is alot brighter. Rest in peace Bobby🌺

Lilli, my heart goes out to you and the whole family. Your dad was so incredibly special. One of my favorite things about holiday gatherings at your house was always a good, long conversation with him. He was so dang smart, funny and proud of his amazing daughter. I wish our Dads had known each other. The similarities between them were remarkable, and I know they would have been friends. I will miss seeing his warm, welcoming smile at your parties, and I’m so incredibly sorry for this devastating loss. I’m keeping Cynthia in my thoughts, too. Love you, sweet friend.
