Robert "Bob"'s obituary

Obituary for Robert Summers

On Monday, May 12, 2025 at age 53, Robert “Bob” Summers closed his eyes and took his last breath on earth. Then, he opened his eyes in heaven and walked through heaven’s gate with our Lord and Savior. He was surrounded by family and friends when he passed. He was the husband of Stacie Leann Summers and they shared almost 18 years of marriage together.

Born in Norman, OK, he was the son of Bobby Layne Summers and Rosalie Anderson Lavon. He graduated from Norman High School. Then, he went on to graduate from law school at Oklahoma City University. He was then a solo practitioner at Summers Law Firm for approximately 22 years.

He and his family belonged to Life Church in Moore, Oklahoma and enjoyed worshipping together with his family when he was able.

Bob enjoyed reading, eating good food, going to the movies, watching old sitcoms, and researching and learning about almost anything. He also loved trivia games (and usually won them) and he loved all things “Peanuts”, especially Snoopy! He also loved routing for the Chicago Cubs, his favorite baseball team! He will be most remembered for his sense of humor and his love and kindness towards people and animals.

He is survived by his wife Stacie Summers, daughters, Charity Summers, Elizabeth Summers, Reagan Summer-Jones, his son-in-law Logan Jones, and grandsons, Axel Jones and Ezra Jones.

Also, by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chad and Tracy McNamar, and his niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Isaiah McNamar, and Aunt Karen Spilman.

He is also survived by his brothers John Summers, Steve Summers, and Terry Summers and sister-in-law Angela Summers as well as nieces Maggie Summers and Ella Grace Summers.

Also, by his sister-in-law, Debbie Lavon, niece Lorrie O’Brien, niece Jamie Dawn Butts, and great-nephew Jadyn Butts, and great-niece Jordyn Butts, and many other extended family members.

He is proceeded in death by his father Bobby Layne Summers, his mother, Rosalie Anderson Lavon, and his brother, James Lavon.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23rd at 12 pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73159 with internment at Arlington Memory Gardens 3400 North Midwest Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Viewing will be held from 4-8pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
