Robert (Bob)'s obituary

Robert “Bob” C. Munter, 75, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, in Kirkland, Washington.

Born on January 24, 1950, Bob was adopted by Milton P. Munter and Catherine D. Munter and raised in Seattle. He graduated from Ingraham High School, Class of 1968.

Bob met the love of his life, Jill Wrucha, while working at Hamilton Avnet. They married on August 24, 1985, and settled in Monroe, Washington, where they built a life together for the past 40 years.

Bob was a devoted father to their daughter, Meghan, who was his pride and joy. He stayed home to care for her during her early years and supported her in every way. One of their shared passions was showing our Doberman Pinscher, Dirk—a hobby that brought them closer and created lasting memories for our family.

Though Bob didn’t attend college, he was a proud and enthusiastic Washington State University Cougars fan. Once Meghan enrolled at WSU, he could often be seen sporting a Cougs ballcap or sweatshirt and never missed a chance to shout “Go Cougs!” to fellow fans.

Throughout his life, Bob held many jobs, earning a reputation as a jack-of-all-trades and a remarkably handy man. Later in life, he earned his CDL and spent the last 20 years of his

working career as a local dump truck driver—a career change he embraced wholeheartedly.

Bob was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and ability to brighten any room. He cherished his lifelong friendships, many of which date back to his childhood.

Above all, Bob was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Catherine Munter, and his brother, John Munter. He is survived by his wife, Jill Wrucha-Munter; daughter Meghan and son-in-law Dustin Davis of Colorado; granddaughter Kinsley; and older brother David Munter of Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA) Junior Handler Program to support scholarships for the future of the breed and the sport of dog showing.
