Background
As many of you know, Bob (Medicine Eagle), passed away suddenly on June 17th, 2020. He left earth doing something he was passionate about, being with his Choctaw Sun Dance family and Barbara, at the Sun Dance in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Bob's father, Barney (Robert / Bob) Barnhill introduced and raised Bob in his own interests, which involved Native American culture, the love of nature and guns / hunting.
Bob (Medicine Eagle) passed doing what he was passionate about. He and Barbara were attending a Sun Dance in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was out in the nature and spending time with his ceremonial family.
It makes perfect sense that Bob decided to pursue a career in becoming a gunsmith after a long career in telephone repair and installation. Bob owned and operated Barney's Gun Shop in Collins, IA. He did still dabble in side work in the telephone business.
With that being said, as a small business owner, he unfortunately did not carry insurance that would cover any end of life expenses. Austin and Creighton are working diligently to put the pieces of the estate / needs together.
There will be quite a few expenses, such as: Celebration of Life service; medical expenses; business and personal obligation expenses. We are asking that if you are able to contribute, please do so. If you are not, we completely understand and please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. Doing something kind in memory of Bob would be very meaningful too.
We, (Austin, Creighton (Brittany), Barbara and Michelle) are overwhelmed by the texts, posts, and phone calls of support. We are extremely grateful. Contribute
