Robert's obituary

In loving memory of
Robert Arthur Royal
East coast ID: Bozo
Everyone on the east coast or for the locals that are not there as of right now “back home” acquire a nick name at some point and time in their lives. I am going to start this with the story of how he got his.
When Robert was a kid his dad (Robert Arthur Royal) had an old pair of boxing gloves. He would take his kids out in the back yard in the evenings and teach them some boxing skills. They would practice on a blow up clown named Bozo the clown, which he got as a gift from his dad. They would spend hours punching and kicking and beating this toy as hard as they could. No matter how many times or how hard they delivered a blow to the toy it promptly bounced back up. His father as well as his siblings realized in doing this, the reaction suited and fit Rob’s personality to a “T”. Every time life knocked him down he got straight back up and kept going. So from then on out he was known as “Bozo”, Boz for short of course.
He loved to laugh, joke and carry on. Humor was a huge outlet for him in life. That was a part of what made him who he was. He appreciated a good joke. To be honest he loved the bad ones too.
He always took the time to make the people around him feel special. He would make it a priority to make everyone’s day a little better. With a simple “Good mornin, what’s goin on?”, “How are ya?” (by the way not typos….just east coast English). At the very least a warm kind smile. Just to let you know he was acknowledging he was happy to see you. If you were really lucky, He would even use a bad “dad joke” to make your day. Trust me when I say “bad dad joke”. I was lucky enough to hear them all!
A couple of his favorite pass times were fishing and hunting. He was most at ease when he was doing either. Let’s just say if he was a color he would have been mossy oak. Throughout all his life time good or bad he never complained. He did his best to help out whoever he could. Weather it had been family, friends or a complete stranger for that matter. He was an overly generous individual.
I cannot express enough in words, how greatly he loved and is missed. Not just by family and friends but by everyone, who ever had the pleasure of knowing him. He was by far the most caring, thoughtful, loving, hard working person. This world was very blessed to have had him in it.
He has been survived by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years Bernadette Saunders. His son Chris Royal and daughters Jolene Coleski, Jeanine Coleski, Brittany Saunders. As well as an extremely large loving family and amazing supportive loving friends.

“Keep casting pops!”
