Roberto Ramirez Armendariz, 76, of Farmington passed away at home listening to Mona Lisa by Nat King Cole. He was born in Chihuahua Mexico and raised in Hobbs, Nm where he then joined the Army and the Peace Corp constructing bridges in Peru. After College, he settled down to raise a family in Farmington. His greatest passion was teaching. He taught 6th grade math and science for over 30years at Sacred Heart, Esperanza Elementary and Tibbetts middle school. He was a great teacher but, his best lessons where how to care for other. Always willing to show mercy, he was a caring father to many and a dear friend to all.
preceded in death by his mother and father, Petra and Jose; son,Alfredo and grandson, Jordan.
He’s survived by 7 children and their spouses, 19 grandchildren , 4 brothers and 4 sisters with their spouses and children. Along with many more relatives and friends who miss him dearly.
A mass will be held in his honor January 9th 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service is open to the public. Masks are required and social distancing implemented.
