Dear Carmel, Daneah and Alexis, I am so sorry for your loss. I have the fondest memories of Bob and you from my first ESL job ever in Orlando. His hiring me sight-unseen over the phone from New England was what paved the way for the family I now call my own and oh so much teaching wisdom. If it hadn’t been for him and you, Carmel, Florida would not have called me there and my story would be so much different. Bob certainly touched countless lives in the deepest of ways. My most heartfelt prayers are with Bob and with you, as you three navigate the days, weeks and all time ahead. Love to you…

Bob was simply a terrific human being. I feel glad that I had the good fortune to meet him and become friends when he and Carmel and I worked at San Francisco state university. My heart goes out to all his family.

Carmel, I am deeply sorry for your loss! The obituary was very touching! Bob was a wonderful person.  I always thought you two were the most amazing couple!! I have such precious memories of traveling with you and Bob and your baby daughter in Egypt so many years ago--with our little group of Kuwait University friends.

Carmel, prayers for you and the girls, for strength one day at a time, as your broken hearts heal. Bob lived an amazing life not only excelling in sports, but traveling and teaching world wide. He touched so many with his kind heart, and willingness to educate. In his teaching, he opened eyes to see what the world had to offer. I’m so fortunate and thankful that Bob has been a part of my life. Proud to have him as a cousin and also a true dear friend. Love to you and the girls, Carmel❣️. RIP Bob ☮️🌿🕊🌀

Carmel,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I cared so much for Bob. We became so close writing long text back and forth supporting each other in our medical adventures.

He will always be in your heart with so many memories .  Please give the girls my condolences.  ❤️

My sincere condolences. I grew up with Bob in Pekin living in the same neighborhood from grade school at Douglas elementary through high school. We were in cub scouts together and walked to school many times. He was a true renaissance man. Even though we lost touch after high  school, we reconnected on social media. RIP Bob.
