Bob's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Hokanson, an accomplished businessman and cherished family member, who entered eternal rest on January 12, 2025. Born on November 24, 1944, Bob was known for his sharp intellect, quick wit, and remarkable acumen in business, construction, and sales.
Bob's legacy continues through his loved ones. He is survived by his adored wife of 42 years, Dee Dee Hokanson; his loving daughter, Colleen (Harry) James and his younger sister, Marlene Hokanson. His stepdaughters, Charlene (Rick) Rocha and Victoria (Derek) Boczkowski. He also leaves behind his former ex-spouse, Joyce Thompson, with whom he maintained a friendship. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Arvid Hokanson, and his brother, Raymond Hawkins.
Possessed of a strategic mind, Bob often reminded those around him to plan for the future. His foresight and prudent planning found expression not only in his personal life but also in his successful career. Bob was a successful owner of several businesses, an excellent salesman, and an accomplished home inspector, with a deep understanding of all aspects of construction and finance. His professional contributions will long be remembered by those who had the privilege to work alongside him.
His home was his haven, where he found great joy in the company of his beloved puppies. He lived a full life and also enjoyed traveling, swimming, scuba diving, reading and motown music. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace and his memory continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
