I got to know Robby when he was assistant principal. I was a part of the 5th grade team who loved to prank Robby, until he pranked us back.  Know that you and your sons as well as your daughter in law are in my prayers.
Praying for your family as you grieve the loss of your loved one.

Both as a teacher of my children and a coworker of my own, Robby was one of the schools finest. It's been many years since I saw him but I always remembered him as caring and always smiling. A sudden loss like this is so hard, but know that as he touched so many lives, a little bit of him lives on in so many people!
Dear Jackie….sending my love and sympathy.

I remember Robby well from my time teaching Western Civ at Eureka College. After I gave my lecture on the Viet Nam war in that class (for the first time), Robby was first in line to shake my hand and thank me for taking him and his classmates through my experience. After that, we never failed to great each other, and often his wonderful sense of humor came through in our interactions. He will be missed!
I am so saddened to hear of Robbie’s passing. I hadn’t seen him for years but one of my sweetest kindest friends I ever had. My deepest sympathies to all of you 😢. Kathy Jeckel
Jackie, Gabe and all of Robby's family and friends,  I am so sorry to hear of Robby's passing. I met both Robby and Gabe thru Team Road Kill, riding RAGBRAI with them so many years ago. Gabe completed his first 100 mile century ride that year and Robby was so proud of him!  What an unforgettable selfless and very funny man. I am so happy that he found beauty in life with Jackie, saw Gabe get married, and I am not surprised to learn that he found a way to continue to give back after his retirement. He truly gave away so many pieces of his heart. God's peace to you all.

Robby was always a joy to be with. He will be missed by so many whose lives he touched. Rest in peace.

Dear Jackie & Family - I am so sorry that we will be out of town next weekend but my love & fervent prayers will be with all of you. My life was blessed to know you & Robby & I know God will fill the empty places in our hearts & lives when He took him Home.
You have my deepest sympathy and prayers for peace and provision during this time of great sorrow. I met Robby at Eureka College and couldn't help but love the guy. I subbed a bit at Riverview with him and then he took over my tech position at Davenport when I moved to a classroom. He made every day fun and brought so much caring and compassion to everything he did. He was adored by staff and students. I still use his phrases, "I hear you cluckin', big chicken", "I'm picking up what you're putting down",  "If I was any better, I'd have to be two people." His great love for life and people will stay with me always.
Jackie, Gabe, and all of Robby’s family, my family sends you our deep sympathy on his passing. I was privilege to have Robby as my principal during my last few years of teaching at EPG Middle School. He was a compassionate support for students and staff.
I’m sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to have worked with Robbie at District 140.   He was a great teacher and coworker.  He will be missed by many.
I’m so sorry to hear this terrible news. I am part of Team Road Kill who Robby and Gabe biked RAGBRAI with, now over ten years ago. I have such fond memories of the fun we had. He was very special. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
Praying for God's comfort and peace as you begin a new walk in your lives.
