Robby's obituary

Rev. Robby Rudy Cramer, age 80, lost his earthly battle with Glioblastoma on December 1, 2022 and peacefully transitioned to his Heavenly home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born June 10, 1942 in Paramaribo, Suriname, South America to Jean Cramer and Alma DaCosta Cramer. He married his Bible College sweetheart, Urma Luckie Cramer, in May of 1968.

Prior to going to Bible College, he pursued an education in Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmacist Assistant in Suriname. He then attended Jamaica Bible College in Mandeville, Jamaica, in preparation for ministry as a Missionary and Pastor. There he met and fell in love with fellow student Urma Luckie from Guyana, South America, whom he married after graduating. They returned to Suriname, where God blessed them with 3 terrific children, Peter Mark, Jim Anthony and Dawn Marie, in that order. The Lord called them to serve as Missionaries with BCM International in Pennsylvania, USA in 1970. He and his wife served as Missionaries in multiple countries, Caribbean islands and in the U.S states of NY, NJ and FL. He also served as a Pastor and mentor for many years. Overall he served the Lord in ministry for 52 years, along with his family.

He was always smiling or telling lots of Dad jokes to anyone he came across. You knew he was having a bad day when a joke didn’t come your way. He was known for his servant’s heart and would stop and pray for anyone who requested it. He enjoyed life and a good hot meal, even though he looked like we were starving him (we envied his resistance to fat and calories) 😊. He was rarely sick, if ever. As a teenager he was well known for his Judo performances. He also was known for his lovely tenor voice, which he used often while ministering with his wife and children.

One of his favorite verses was John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No Man comes unto the Father but by Me”.

Robby is survived by his wife, Urma Luckie Cramer; his two sons Dr. Peter Mark Cramer (Alisa) and Mr. Jim Anthony Cramer (Marsha) and daughter Mrs. Dawn Marie Piccoli (Paulo); Siblings- Andre Cramer (deceased), Yvonne Meyers and Joyce Teunis; Grandchildren- Joshua, Charity (Kurt), Andrew, Peter Jr (Kristen), Karah, Markell, Stefano and Giuliana; great grandson- Joseph; and many nephews and nieces. All of these he loved and touched deeply.

We would like to give a special thank you to  Robby's caregivers and nurses in his final days. You were truly a blessing. Additionally, we would like to thank all of the family and friends who stopped by to visit, made meals, and brought joy into our home during a difficult time.

Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday morning December 17, 2022, between 10:00 a.m. — 12 Noon at Bell Shoals Church in the Chapel, 2102 Bell Shoals Rd, Brandon, FL 33511.
