Kay's obituary

Kay Dunn-Smith Wood passed away at her residence in Thomasville, GA on Monday, March 4, 2024. She was born on February 5, 1958, to James Thomas “Tommy” and Marjorie Dunn, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Dunn. Kay had an accomplished career in automotive sales where she formed many lifelong friendships. She will forever be remembered for her admirable work ethic and her compassion for others by everyone that she crossed paths with for all of those years.

Kay was captivated by all things in nature. She spent countless hours watching sunsets, studying stars, and admiring flowers, plants, and trees. Kay enjoyed bird watching and feeding deer in her yard. She loved her fur baby, “Beamer”. She cherished time with her grandchildren above all else. Kay loved her family unconditionally. She will forever be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ronald McDonald House at Shands Children’s Hospital. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 11 AM-12 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home’s Celebration of Life Chapel.
