Rob's obituary

Robert (Rob) Alan Cox passed away on August 4, 2023. He was born on October 28, 1957 in St. Louis the

son of Alan and Betty Lois (nee Lee) Cox. He is survived by his son Brian, sisters Berta Meyer (nee Cox)

and Alana Lois Warren (nee Cox), brother in-law Marshall Warren, brother Charles (Chuck) and Pam

Richardet and family. Rob was the proud uncle of Christopher Robert Meyer and Jenni Meyer and family,

Melissa Ann Meyer, Maddie Warren and Trisha Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents and

daughter, Monica Eileen Cox.

After graduation from St. Vincent High School in 1975, Rob enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on many

submarine missions. After leaving the U.S. Navy, Rob worked as an industrial welder; before starting his

own business, R&B Welding in Chatsworth, CA. As founder of R&B Welding, Rob traveled extensively

throughout the U.S. and Global regions working with commercial and industrial businesses on large-scale

welding projects. Rob was very active in the Kiwanis Club of Chatsworth, CA. He organized and participated

in numerous fund-raising events. Rob was always willing to volunteer, promote and assist various veterans

and community associations. Providing veterans with care baskets for “Operation Gratitude”, community

funding and scholarships – a mission that Rob firmly supported.

Rob will be deeply missed by his family, colleagues and friends who loved him.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 28, 2023 at St. Vincent

DePaul Church, 1408 S 10th St, St. Louis, MO 63104.

Rob’s family would like to extend an opportunity to gather with friends immediately following the celebration

of life memorial service.
